Ray Verratti, Vice President:
Ray has been the Vice President since May 2019 and member since 2016. He is a Dad to Hugo (under 13’s) and a player for the ‘Ashburton Athletic’, one of our over-45’s teams. He has been a lover of the world game since he was ten and started out playing for Doncaster Rovers. He was on the senior list at Bulleen Lions in the 1980’s and was part of the Metro State 1 championship team in 1987 (equivalent to today's NPL2). After a short break, he joined Old Camberwell and played there for many years at all levels. His time there forged some great friendships that continue today at Ashburton.
He is an advocate for the role that community sporting clubs can play in people's well-being, both physically and mentally. Providing programs for players of all abilities and age groups is what he loves about Ashy and is committed to reinforcing these values for future generations. A civil engineer by profession, Ray is the Managing Director of Verve Projects a Project Management and engineering consultancy practice that he established in 2001. Verve Projects employs 35 people and has built a reputation of working on good projects with great people. He lives in Glen Iris and is married to Rebecca and they have two sons, Dominic and Hugo.

Tas Tsatas, General Committee:
Re-appointed to the general committee at the 2020 AGM, Tas had previously served as Club Secretary since the merger with Ashburton United Women’s Soccer Club in 2015. Prior to that he was Club Secretary at the women’s club for 3 years.
Tas works in the Victorian public service and has a passion for governance matters and giving back to the community. His passion for the soccer club stems from his younger daughter’s playing days as a young goal keeper. The community spirit and the welcoming environment of the Ashburton United Women’s Soccer attracted him to initially sit on the committee and then take up an executive role. Tas' attention to detail and his coordination activities has assisted the Club achieving two National Premier League licenses.
In 2020, Tas was recognised as Life Member.
