‘Kick Off’ Under 4 to 7-year-old boys and girls
‘Kick Off’ is an activities-based program to get kids involved and start to love the game. This football program is based for 4 – 7 year olds, focussed on fun, engagement and introduction to core skills. We run programs on Sat and/or Sun and almost all year round.
For 2024, Term 1 is held on Sat 9am-10am @ Camberwell High School (synthetic) from 3rd Feb to 16th Mar – see Kickoff Registration button for more details and to register
‘Miniroos’ Under 8 to Under 12-year-old boys and girls
‘Miniroos’ is game based playing where we start to form teams. Kids can play as much or as little as they like – we recommend at least two nights a week training, but we can tailor to suit. Our focus is also to ensure kids are playing at a level that suits their ability.
In 2023, we will again provide a a Community Pathway and a Performance Pathway for our MiniRoos players (see ‘MiniRoos Player Pathway guide’) . In essence, it is a process for organising our U9-U13 players into teams which give them the best chance to have fun, be challenged and continue to grow their passion for football. Always happy for kids to try football in pre-season, however we recommend you register before 28 February to avoid disappointment.
Youth under 13 to 18 Boys and Girls
Our junior program provides opportunity for any player to play. Players and teams will be graded to ensure they play at an appropriate level.

Pre NPL U13 Boys
The Pre NPL U13 program is designed to get players and families familiar with a full NPL program. Whilst the competition is 9 a side, strong emphasis is on getting the players ready for 11 a side football. We strive to prioritise our members via the Miniroos program but we also welcome players from other clubs to trial. 24 spaces are available for 2 squads.
Season and trials start early October with season ending mid August.
Pre NPL U13, U15, U17 Girls
This is Girls performance pathway via a Grade A team. This pre-NPL competition is big sep towards full NPL participation in the future as currently AUSC does not have a Junior Girls NPL license as yet.
Junior NPL U14 to U18
The club was successful in being awarded a JBNPL license in 2019. This is an important step for us as it provides a performance pathway for our members that would have previously left us to join other NPL clubs. We provide a structured pathway for our NPL players which is based on our Ashy Way principals.
Season and trials start early October with season ending early September.
Senior Mens
Our senior mens cohort comprises our State 3 South East first team, reserve team, Under 20 development squad and three metropolitan teams playing Sundays.

Mens Masters Over 35, 45 and 55
We have a strong Masters program at Ashburton. Our ‘first to last’ vision is alive and well here with many former players returning to play in competitive leagues.

Womens Masters over 35
2022 is our inaugural season for our Women’s Masters (35 and over) and we play in FV Women’s Metro Sevens Masters competition (home and away). Our squad age ranges from 35 to 64 and our kits are sponsored by Icon Construction. Trainings are on Tuesday 6:30pm to 8pm at Watson Park, Ashburton. Come and join our current squad for 2023. Womens Masters – Soccer Mums
Ashburton in conjunction with Football Victoria have hosted ‘Soccer Mums’ at our club by providing coaches and equipment throughout the season. Our goal is to get enough interest to start and enter Womens masters teams in gala days and ultimately a competition format which we hope will be started in the near future by Football Victoria.
Run in partnership with Football Victoria and the YMCA, Walking Football kicks off in May 2023 at the Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre. Games are every Tuesday between 1.00 – 2.00pm.
Games are on the indoor courts and no experience is necessary. This is all about health and wellbeing for people 50+, while having fun in a safe indoor environment.
